On Friday the 9^th of July I had the honour of handing over a donation of £3,000 to Acorns Children’s Hospice. I chose to nominate this charity because I have a deep admiration for Acorns who, with such conviction and commitment, do all they can to serve the most venerable children and their families when they are most in need of our help. The Money was raised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community at Tilton Road Mosque, who have displayed such compassion and generosity at a time when their movement is subject to such horrific persecution abroad. A spirit of humanity truely pervades this event and I for one feel privileged to have been a part of it.
